Other News Around Burr Oak Farm
![]() |
Part of life on the farm is watching a mother hen shepherd her chicks
around the yard. This hen has 11 chicks that she hatched out in a
manger in the barn. Did you know a hen needs to sit for 21 days on
a nest of eggs for them to hatch out?
These chicks were very interesting to watch as they rode around on the backs of lambs and competed with the lambs for corn in the feeders! |
